Our Support Staff

Our Registered Veterinary Technologists are college graduates who are trained paraprofessionals in the field of veterinary medicine. They can be compared to a nurse, paramedic, medical laboratory technologist, anesthetist, radiology technologist, dental technician, and medical receptionist. Our R.V.T.’s are skilled in all of these areas which enhances patient care and the human-animal bond.

Charlotte, R.V.T., FFCP (Veterinary)

Charlotte has always been a huge animal lover and from a young age knew she wanted a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from Douglas College with her veterinary technology diploma in 2015 and joined our team shortly after. She shares her home with her two dogs, two cats, and a parrot. In her free-time she enjoys quadding, camping, and exploring with her dogs and husband.

Charlotte is Fear Free certified. Fear Free certification provides the knowledge and experience necessary to ensure the emotional well-being, enrichment, and reduction of fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. This improves the experience of every owner and pet both inside and outside the veterinary hospital.

Amanda R.V.T.

Amanda graduated from the Red River College in Manitoba. Shortly after graduating, she moved to the Lower Mainland with her husband and her veterinary technology diploma. Amanda loves the daily challenges of being an R.V.T. Her favourite part is making sure her patients receive the best care from the time they enter our hospital to the time they leave, with a follow up call the next day. She keeps up with all the new anesthesia and pain management techniques. Amanda enjoys hiking with her dogs, Tesla and Winnie, biking, cross fit, yoga, snowboarding, and the occasional tasting at a local winery.

Brenna R.V.T.

Brenna has loved being around animals from a very young age and always knew that she would find a career where she could spend her days caring for them. Brenna graduated from Douglas College with her veterinary technology diploma in 2022 and joined White Rock Veterinary Hospital after completing her practicum here. She loves working with all the furry pet patients and getting to know their diverse personalities. Brenna spends her free time reading and adding to her ever-growing home library. She shares her home with a big red dog, a mischievous feline, and a blue crayfish named Carl.

Our veterinary assistants are entrusted with the special care of your pet while they are at our hospital. Your pet’s comfort is their number one priority and includes keeping them comfortable, taking them for bathroom and fresh air breaks, and tending to their food and water needs. Our assistants also help the veterinarians and R.V.T.s with diagnostic testing and treatments and are a key part of the health care team at our hospital.

Heather now looks forward to connecting with the clients and patients of White Rock Veterinary Hospital. Heather shares her home with three Border Collies, Jazz, Blitz, and Disco, and her husband, Chris. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, her six grandsons, four sons, two stepdaughters, and their partners, and travelling the world.

Sophie, Resident Cat

Sophie is our spoiled and well-loved resident cat. We adopted her in 2011 and she has been with us ever since. She adapted very well to life at the veterinary hospital. She is a bit shy but very well behaved and spends her time in the doctors’ office and staff lunch room by her own choice. She can usually be found in the doctors’ office napping on a chair or in her bed on the desk. She earns her keep by being a demo cat and helps to educate pet owners on the administration of medications.
